Michel Mortier<\/p>

1925-2015<\/p><\/p>\n

Michel Mortier was born in Paris in 1925. Very early, he graduated from the School of Arts Appliqu\u00e9s at age 19 where he followed the teaching of Louis Sognot, Ren\u00e9 Gabriel and Etienne-Henri Martin, some of the masters of the French modernity. He went on to hold positions of responsibility at Studium du Louvre and Bon March\u00e9 in Brussels until he was appointed director of Marcel Gascoin’s research department at the age of 24, ARHEC (Rational Development of Housing and Communities), until 1954.<\/p>\n

The N10527 floor lamp designed in 1972 by Michel Mortier was published at the time by Verre Lumi\u00e8re. Disderot reissues this very contemporary model, with its aluminum base and opal glass shade.<\/p>\n

The luminaire also exists as a table lamp (10497 and 10576). The base is available in 3 colors – white, orange and chamois – as in its origin.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
